TALKING GENDERS (part of And What? Queer Arts Festival) @ ARCHIVE GALLERY
Talking Genders is an international initiative conducted by Himherandit Productions and is part of a 6 year performance project titled ‘The Gender House’. The exhibition aims to give visibility to diverse perspectives of young LGBTQIA+ Artists living in today’s society and to be an empowering space to both artists and spectators. Themes explored are: rural queerness & virginity, feral femininity & brutality of beauty rituals, intersection between trans identity & sex work, intersection of race & sexual politics, transmasc & the forbidden fruit, gay plants, androgyny, sexual confusion and queer city euphoric fairytale. Co-produced with ‘And What? Queer Arts Festival’ London. At Archive Gallery, 6-10 October 2017.
