A selection of artists’ videos and performances that attempt to re-configure the perception of vernacular traditions, rituals and nationalisms according to new registers and idioms. These explorations re-appropriate, deviate and criticise written, oral, personal and collective traditions and ideologies. A discussion will follow and a performance from sound artist Nik Rawlings and Russian artist Tatiana Baskakova will precede the screening.
